Clinical Training Series: World-Renowned Experts Training the Carrara Team

The Carrara Clinical Training Series brings the people who built the science of addiction and behavior change directly to our clinical staff. Every quarter, Carrara’s clinicians receive training from the researchers and practitioners who defined the field, and every session is recorded and published here in full, so you can see exactly what our team is taught and who is teaching it.

Carrara’s clinical team is trained by leading researchers in addiction and behavioral science, including Dr. Carlo DiClemente, Professor Emeritus at UMBC and co-creator of the Transtheoretical Model (Stages of Change), and Dr. Mark Aoyagi, Professor and Co-Director of Sport & Performance Psychology at the University of Denver. Training sessions are recorded and published in full.

Our Standard

Why We Publish These

Most treatment centers ask you to take their clinical quality on faith. You see the amenities, a list of credentials, and a promise of evidence-based care. You rarely see how the staff are actually trained, or by whom.

We think that should be visible. Whether you are choosing care for yourself or someone you love, or deciding where to refer a patient, what matters most is what happens in the therapy room. The training our clinicians receive shapes every one of those conversations.

So we record each session in the Carrara Clinical Training Series and publish it in full, with a complete transcript. It keeps us accountable, because every session has to hold up in public. Watch the same material our clinical team learns from, and judge the quality of that thinking for yourself. We hold ourselves to that standard, and we would like to see it become the norm across our industry.
